Internet is down at home, so sad to see my dependence on technology in it's pure form.
Yet the things I tend to spend my time doing on the internet I hope are enriching my life a little bit, with music entertainment and social awareness.
For my World Migrations history class we were asked to read the first chapter of the book "understanding global slavery" the author after a quick wikipedia search led me to this website
http://freetheslaves.net/
and it made me invigorated to be a little depressed but happy to know that horrible things have the power to be exposed and that the internet can be used as a large tool.

Also I saw a thing on global warming and the US government action. it seems that in late 2006 that a groups of large corporations Bp, Dow, GE and FPL joined together to aske the congress to set out mandates, I think it's mostly a ply to show that they are ahead of the game and so will get most of the initial windfall of profits. for instance I have been tracking FPl on the stock market for the past year or two after discovering that they are the largest producer of wind power in the US. here is the stock.

I'm thinking it will only go up, and if I had the money I'd stash it away now.
