Is not wanting to learn technology, to reject cell phones or the internet, or new innovations of mircotechnology hindering our society and it's development? Is rejecting technology any worse or better then those who reject science or scientific theory and call it faith. Are blogs a little to in your face, do they clog up search results, are they less effective in communication then message boards or topical posting.
Tonight at work I had a few aha moments, I realized my concept of how a car engine works was quite small, and to hear it explained was nice. People need to be open to admitting they know nothing, failure to admit your lack of knowledge on topics leads to superiority complexities I think. People should realize that everyone knows a lot about different things and that your value of what you spend your time knowing about isn't necessarily any better then anything else that other people know about.
Also a quick thought it the misunderstanding between groups could be found in the example of the Blue Comedy Tour. Many elitist people will talk trash about it, I agree it's not funny to me and that it makes fun of the stereotype of people who are the exact audience of those shows. I think this is because people assume that the audience dosn't get that it is being made fun of that they are too stupid to realize that they are belittled in the humor.
This may also be applied to the show Wild'n out on MTV, that makes fun of urban culture while also promoting it and targeting the audience it ridicules.
But is The Royal Tennanbaums or The Squid and The Whale the same thing? isn't it making fun of overly developed snobbery, yet targeting a high brow audience?

I decided tonight, that it would be a cool restaurant idea, to have well trained actors pick a part to play out, not dinner theatre, but close, just an actor being a waiter, but with a developed backstory and personality, so part of the dining experience is getting to know your server.
Also I thought it would be a good idea for bar and clubs to hook up a webcam in their ceiling and have it refresh every 25 minutes on the website, but it would show if a place is crowded or not, if it look like it would be fun. Like how people wonder if it's going to be lame? or if it's hoping, a website with refreshing web cam would help. People I'm sure would use their cell phone to see what bars they want to hop to, check online to know where is crowded or not.

I decided I need to talk to people more, that I need to feel like making small talk is worth it because it open up later conversation to something deeper, and that how you connect with people not automatically with intense deep conversation but in baby steps. At my job I think I should stop to talk to the ramp security more, or the valets across the street, or the guy in the wheelchair in front of the ramp hassling people for change and selling drugs.I mean just say HI at first, learn what they are about eventually, get to know them. Like how on Cheers they know people at Gary's Ole Town Tavern. Also when talking to people assume that they mean the best, that their words are genuine.

I think people who have bad attitude tend to use good words in a shitty way. People should not use the words "Thank You" in a snotty way. I mean don't ruin our good word so you can express your displeasure. Say nothing or be a bitch, but don't go using words like Great and Thanks with sarcasm, especially with strangers (friends it's seems more appropriate).

Oh and if anyone knows about mobile home use or mobile home parks outside of the US, I can't find any website about the culture online. But oh well.
